Vous vous souvenez de Brock Baker, le Warbler de la Dalton Academy de la série Glee qui nous avait accordé une interview en février dernier ? Il a sorti un titre sur les plateformes de téléchargement Fairytale ending. Une très jolie mélodie, une histoire toute mignonne  et une belle voix...Chouette cocktail pour l'été...

The Warblers sing in NY ...(get better, Brock ! )

Quelques Warblers ont fait un aller-retour Los Angeles New York pour faire la promo de leur album...Ils ont pu chanter en live sur le plateau de TODAY, l'émission presque sexagénaire, sur l'antenne de NBC et rencontrer leurs fans new yorkais dans un petit bain de foule.

J'en profite pour souhaiter un prompt rétablissement à Brock Baker, qui n'était d'ailleurs pas du voyage (Get better, Brock !!!)... Mais pas d'inquiétude, Brock nous assurait ce matin qu'il allait beaucoup mieux... je vous invite à l'écouter chanter Fairytale ending

Vous connaissez Brock M. Baker ? Pas vraiment ! Pourtant ce jeune chanteur/acteur fait partie d'une chorale qui fait beaucoup parler d'elle en ce moment : les Warblers de la Dalton Academy. Et oui, après Telly Leung et Riker Lynch, Brock est le troisième Warbler qui accepte de répondre aux questions de Fringues de séries.

FDS - Qui es-tu , BROCK M. BAKER?

B -  Je suis un chanteur, auteur, musicien, acteur, très bosseur, que l’on peut voir actuellement dans la série Glee et dans « On the Spot » avec Johnny Wright. Je suis sincère, joyeux, passionné, j’aime les gens et j’ai déménagé à Hollywood pour influencer ce qui est influent.

FDS - Un Warbler dans Glee ! Wow !! Comment es-tu devenu un Warbler ?

Pourquoi moi ? Je me pose moi-même la question. Mais je pense que c’est parce que je suis resté fidèle aux répétitions, fidèle à m’épanouir comme chanteur, musicien, acteur… Et je ne pense pas que ça fasse du tort que je chante à des dizaines de milliers de personnes toute ma vie…c’est ma passion, mes rayons de soleil.

Comment c’est arrivé ? Ben, Tim Davis faisait des recherches sur Facebook et et il est tombé sur ma page…Il a regardé les photos postées par mes amis, des fans, il a regardé mes vidéos où je jouais…Il a montré tout ça à Dante di Loreto (le producteur) en disant que j’étais beau gosse et qu’il falait m’auditionner pour la série. Deux semaines plus tard,  j’étais un Warbler. Je ne peux pas trop expliquer comment ça s’est passé, je dois accepter que c’était un de ces moments censés exister et que Dieu lui-même pourrait être responsable de tout ça.

FDS -Tu n'en as pas marre du blazer de la Dalton Academy? Comment définirais-tu ton style? Quels sont tes marques, tes stylistes favoris?

B- Hmmm…je dirais…quelque peu rock urbain, avec une touche rétro…peux me retrouver en veste de costard, de belles bottes faites main, des jeans serrés, le chapeau ratpack de mon grand-père, un gilet et une belle cravate. Sans oublier de belles lunettes…sinon, je vois que dalle…mais si je me sens bien, je peux me jeter sur des lentilles de contact pour dire si la fille qui traverse la pièce est de mon genre ou pas.

Ma boutique favorite à L.A est H.L.N.R… H. Lorenzo est le styliste…Le magasin est toujours 6 mois à l’avance sur les tendances de L.A…J’adore aussi All Saints London…C’est merveilleux pour les  sweats à capuche, pulls, les pantalons, les bottes, les gilets et un cool look à cols boutonnés. J’adore le vintage, les fringues qui ont une histoire…et c’est toujours cool de mêler du neuf à l’ancien.

Pour les filles… je dois dire que si je dois acheter des chaussures pour le tapis rouge ou autre occasion spéciale à quelqu’un de particulier, ou simplement à une fille stylée, j’opte KM2 Shoes. Megan, Katelyn et Madi dessinent ces chaussures et c’est du pur génie…Mon coloc a acheté ces pompes à sa copine et depuis, elle l’adore.


FDS.- Quel est le projet que tu es sûr de faire ?

B- Je suis sûr de faire mon propre album solo. Là, je travaille sur deux albums : le mien, un EP, aux studios Zion, à Santa Ana, qui sortira dans les 3 mois, et un album de musique religieuse avec mon groupe, à L.A, aux Dream Record Studios.

FDS.- Et quel projet rêverais-tu de réaliser ?

B- J’aimerais être le premier rôle dans un film de Randall Wallace, aux côtés de Leo di Caprio et de Mel Gibson. J’adorerais aussi avoir plein d’albums qui cartonnent, produits par les producteurs de Coldplay, de The Script et de U2. Et aussi avoir des projets avec tous ces groupes-là.

Who are you, Brock M. Baker?

I am a hardworking singer/songwriter/musician/actor that is currently on the Show Glee and "on the spot" with johnny wright. I am a genuine, joyful and passionate person that loves people and moved to hollywood to influence the influential.

A Warbler in Glee !! Why You ? How did you become a Warbler ?

Why me?... I ask that question myself...But i do think its Because ive been faithful to practice. I have been faithful to growing as a singer, musician, and actor.. And i dont think it hurts that ive been singing to crowds of 10s of thousands of people my whole life, performing is my passion, and that shines through when i perform. 

How did it happen?... well, tim davis was searching through facebook and he ended up on my page... he looked at photos posted by friends and fans of me playing shows and looked at the videos of me playing, he then showed my picture to dante di loreto (exec prod.) and he said that he thought i was handsome and to have me audition to be a part of the show. 2 weeks later... i was a warbler. I cant explain how it happened accept that it was one of those moments that was MEANT TO BE and that God himself could very well have had everything to do with this coming to past.

Not tired of the Dalton Academy blazer? How do you define your style and what your favorite store to shop (brand, stylist)?

Hmmm... I would say im slighty urban/rock with a flair of retro class ...but find myself in suit jackets, nice hand crafted boots, skin tight jeans , my grandpas 1950s original ratpack hat, a vest and a nice tee. Oh, and don't forget a nice pair of glasses.. i can't see without them...but if im feelin good I may throw on some contacts so I can tell if the girl accross the room is my type or not.. ha!

My favorite store to shop at in Los angeles is H.L.N.R ... H. Lorenzo is the designer/taylor... the store is always 6 months ahead of the fashion curve in la. and the other store that i love is All Saints London ... it is wonderful for hoodies, sweaters, pants, boots, vests, and a cool vintage looking button down. I love vintage clothing, something with a story behind it... and its always cool throw the old in with the new.

For females though... i must say that if i ever buy a special someone some shoes for the red carpet or a special ocassion, or just a girl with style... i buy KM2 shoes...Megan, Katelyn and Madi Gelber design these shoes and they are style genius... my roomy bought his girl these shoes and she has loved him ever since. What’s the project you are sure to do ?

I am sure to do my own solo album.

Im currently working on two albums right now.

Im working on my own EP at Zion studios in Santa Ana, which will be released within the next 3 months, and i am working on a full length album for worship music with my band in Los Angeles at Dream record studios. 

what’s the dream project you fantasize to do?

I would love to lead in a film with leo dicaprio and mel gibson with randall wallace directing a producing. I would also love to have many successful full albums produced by producers of Coldplay, the script, and U2. And i would love to work on a project with any of those bands.
